We’ve spent years identifying and then building relationships with the best growers in the UK to provide a consistent standard of quality through the year. By dealing direct with the grower rather than through a 3^rd party dealer we can achieve the best price for you.

As all experienced fryers know a potato can vary in quality depending on soil type, weather conditions, variety and general husbandry. Therefore we stock a wide range of growers and varieties to ensure we have a chipping potato to suit your needs. No other merchant in the UK can match our range of potatoe varieties.

Every load of fresh potatoes that we collect from a farm is tested for:

Peeling quality and yield, Size, Fry Quality and Appearance, Taste and Texture

Ultimately, we are looking for potatoes that produce a good yield for you as well as providing a delicious golden chip.

All our vehicles and 3 distribution centres are fully insulated to keep potatoes cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It’s important to keep potatoes above 8 degrees C or sugar levels start to alter which will make your chips fry brown.

We run a modern fleet which is regularly updated. This ensures that all our deliveries run on schedule.

We purchase 90% of our potatoes directly off the grower, whereas most of our competition buy through third party potato traders. Furthermore, our volume buying power helps us get a better deal for our customers.
